Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort & Spa has Gone Green!

This timeless jewel is doing its part to help preserve and protect Fort Lauderdale and its beaches. Recognizing the important of preserving our beaches and protecting natural wildlife, Pier Sixty-Six is asking guests to join us in an effort to keep Fort Lauderdale Green. These efforts were designed to protect Florida's natural resources, and we invite you to join in on our environmental efforts including:

  • Recycling of cardboard, office paper, newspaper, plastic, aluminum and steel cans, toners, and light bulbs
  • Recycling of aluminum cans and plastic bottles available to the public
  • Environmentally friendly cleaners used in all areas of the resort
  • Towel re-use program and guest recycling program in guest rooms
  • Low flow and automatic flush toilets to conserve water
  • Energy efficient lighting and timers
  • Programmable thermostats in rooms with automatic temperature adjustment
  • Reclaimed water for irrigation and xeriscape techniques used for all landscaping
  • Use of post consumer recycled paper goods

A Florida Green Lodge is a hotel, motel, resort or bed & breakfast that implements programs and practices aimed at protecting and conserving Florida’s natural resources and the environment, while educating their staff and guests about its importance. It is a voluntary, non-regulatory program designed to acknowledge and reward environmentally conscious facilities in the lodging industry.
